The mission of CeMaST is to empower, conduct, and support STEM education and scholarshi p across the K–16 continuum. CeMaST's Goals are aligned with Illinois State University's strategic plan, Educate, Connect, Elevate
CeMaST was founded in 1991 to assist in integrating efforts of diverse departments, drawn from different colleges in the university, in meeting the needs of Illinois schools in addressing issues related to mathematics, science, and technology education. Since 1991, CeMaST has been building a national reputation for developing and supporting successful projects and activities around STEM education.
