CeMaST hosts grant-writing support teams that suport faculty in assembling a competitive proposal for funding opportunities by utilizing resources from across the ISU campus community and beyond .
CeMaST supports ISU community members as they seek funding opportunities to use their STEM expertise to solve societal problems . Accomplishing this goal usually comes in the form of aiding in the creation of grant proposals and facilitating networking opportunities that enable strong “broader impacts” of grant-funded projects.
Project EDDIE (Environmental Data-Driven Inquiry & Exploration), led locally by Drs. Catherine O'Reilly and Rebekka Darner, partners with the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) at Carleton College to provide professional development to faculty who want to use authentic datasets to improve students' quantitative reasoning skills.
